PARI: Elevating Engagement: Inspiring Interaction and Highlighting Achievements

PARI Institute

PARI is a nonprofit science and education facility in North Carolina built around a former NASA research site. It runs youth camps, stargazing programs, facility rentals, and ongoing scientific research, serving everyone from curious kids to working researchers. The challenge was designing a website that could hold all of that without losing the visitor along the way.

Process & Challenge

PARI serves multiple audiences with very different needs. A family booking a summer camp visit, a researcher inquiring about facilities, and a community member looking for events are all landing on the same site expecting to find what they came for quickly.

The design prioritized clear navigation and a streamlined user journey, organizing PARI's breadth of offerings in a way that felt inviting rather than overwhelming. The goal was to let the work speak. PARI does genuinely remarkable things, and the site needed to reflect that with energy and clarity.

Outcome

The redesign was approved by the client and moved into development. It launched and has remained live for nearly a decade, a sign that the structure and design held up well beyond the initial build.
